Ingrid D. Castelblanco, ED.S.

Licensed School Psychologist

 

Ingrid D. Castelblanco is a certified and Florida Licensed Bilingual School Psychologist with an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from Florida Internationa lUniversity. As a wife and mother of two children she enjoys learning and working with children in many different settings and school psychology has allowed her to pursue her passion for education and psychology in one profession both in the private and public sector for the past 16 years.

 

Ms. Castelblanco worked in the private sector as a Clinician and Clinic Director for the Lindamood-Bell Leaning Processes Clinic in Coral Gables and Weston Florida for four years working with children with various exceptionalities including Learning Disabilities, AD/HD, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. As the Clinic Director, she also served as a consultant and trainer in various school districts throughout the country providing teacher training, small group instruction, feedback for school leadership teams, and program evaluation. She also   conducted ongoing trainings for current clinicians and intensive new hire trainings.

For the past 13 years, Ms. Castelblanco has worked in the fourth largest school district in the country.  She has filled many roles including: Florida and District Master DIBELS Trainer, Response to Intervention Initiative Trainer, State Clinical Educator Trainer, Reading/Curriculum Leadership Chair, and Response to Intervention State Grant District Coordinator. During this time she was also part of a leadership team designing and implementing current trends in the prevention and intervention of reading difficulties, district problem-solving methods, Response to Intervention, and the early identification of children for the diagnosis of learning disabilities.  She has presented at state and national conferences on topics including reading, early intervention, problem-solving models, and Response to Intervention.

 

As a dual practitioner in the private and public sector, her psycho-educational evaluations offer data driven assessments and targeted recommendations for children, adolescents, and college students in the areas of Specific Learning Disabilities, AD/HD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Dyslexia, Gifted, Behavioral Disorders, Reading Assessments, Re-Evaluations and more.
